Is that even possible?

Posted by steve in 21 Aug, 2009

Great headline: “Local soldier killed in Afghanistan, for second time this week.”
The actual article is titled, “Fort Lewis solider killed in Afghanistan.” And clarifies that two different soldiers were killed. Perhaps “Two local soldiers killed in Afghanistan this week” would have been a better on the front page. Or simply, “Local soldiers killed in [...]

Irony (1)

I purchased the book from the gift shop at the Burke Museum of Natural History and Culture. The Burke’s current exhibit, Coffee: The World in Your Cup, continues through Sept. 7, 2009 [...]

829?!

Posted by steve in 3 Feb, 2008

I found out about this via Fark (link goes here): A woman named Ruth Houston wrote a book called Is He Cheating on You? 829 Telltale Signs.
829?! I’m guessing that “breathing” and “being awake” are in her top two. Oh, and as you can tell from the book title, women don’t cheat.

Construction near Westlake Ave. and Denny Way, Seattle. Taken with my cell phone camera, using the zoom feature. Which is less than ideal, as explained here.
Construction in progress fascinates me – I guess it strikes me as a metaphor for life, that I am (we are each) a work in progress. New construction preceded by [...]
